Badlands began as movement and weapons-handling coaching for actors preparing for military and intelligence roles on screen. Our training focuses on authentic skill development in:

• Close Quarters Battle (CQB)
• Shoot-Move-Communicate
• Handgun fundamentals

We are now open to any civilian who wants to train properly. Through realistic, high-pressure scenarios, including: “Goon in Your House” and “Intruder in the House” as participants get to learn to move, decide, and perform under stress in a controlled environment. Whether you are an actor seeking authenticity or a civilian looking for serious, practical training, Badlands delivers structured, professional instruction in a safe setting.

04 MODULES

MOD.01
CQB Fundamentals

Room entry, sectors of fire, angles and clearing sequence, finding work, and transitioning to secondary. This is where most students find out how much of what they've seen in movies doesn't hold up under pressure.
MOD.02
Move, Shoot, Communicate

Bounding overwatch, buddy pairs, entries, command and control, contact drills and the radio discipline that holds a team together mid-scenario. Built around the same choreography we use to block action sequences for camera.
MOD.03
Handgun Basics

Stance, grip, press, presentation, compression reloads and malfunction drills using airsoft platforms weighted and balanced to match their real-steel counterparts, so the muscle memory actually transfers.
MOD.04
Screen-Ready Tactics

For actors and models specifically: how to carry a weapon, move through a scene and hold a position so it reads as trained on camera, compress position, press and present during movement and fires. Learn authentic choreography built in from the first rehearsal for reallife like fire exchange.

No film role required. Airsoft players who want to train with real structure, and anyone curious about tactical fundamentals in a controlled, coached environment for defense.

HOW THIS STARTED

Built on a workbench, not in a studio.

Before Badlands had a range, it had a workbench. Long before the first coaching session, gear was already being rebuilt from scratch. We started with Nerf platforms and reworked them for accurate weight, balance, realism, and finish, so the replicas actors trained with matched what audiences expect a weapon to look and handle like on screen.

That same standard now shapes every civilian session. The gear is built for realism, and the coaching is built for people who want to be taken seriously and who want to be prepared if an altercation ever happens in the real world.
